India has the largest adolescent population of 253 million in the world. Adolescent girls make 10% of total population and 20% of female population. During their practice Gynecologists & Obstetricians may observe various mental health disorders which can affect female’s reproductive health like disturbances in H-P-O axis, menstrual disorders, unsafe sexual behaviors and STI etc. Similarly physical, sexual, psychological changes along with various gynecological disorders affect their mental health causing emotional, behavioral, eating disorders and suicide, self-harm & risk taking tendencies.
